    Prof. Dr. Shahid Hussain by national: Pakistan, is currently working as Professor (Full) at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jiangsu University, China. He completed his PhD degree in Chongqing University, 2015, after started Post-Doctoral research fellowship 2015-2017. He joined Jiangsu University as Associate Professor in July 2017 and based on his outstanding achievements and experiences, he was promoted as Full Professor in July, 2020, and was approved by the state, Govt of China.

    Research foundation and working conditions At present, Dr. Shahid Hussain and the project team have executed a lot of work in the field of metal oxide, sulfides, MXenes and metal-organic based gas sensors, supercapacitors and LiS Batteries. He has published high quality research articles, and also has a wealth of experience, which laid a solid foundation for the project related research. Dr Shahid Hussain has excellent working experience on gas sensors and has been working on sensor device fabrication since 2011. He has published more than 275+ SCI indexed journal research articles with h-Index is 50 in Google Scholar with 7750 citations (Till date Jan 2024) and 11 book Chapters including Nano Energy, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Sensors and Actuators B, Chemosphere, Inorganic Chemistry, Journal of Cleaner Production, Applied Surface Science, Electrochemica Acta, Materials Science and Engineering, etc and has impact factor ~ IF>1700. He is also working as an Editor for 17 SCI indexed journals (Elsevier, Springer, Frontiers, Hindawi, American Scientific Publishers and MDPI). Moreover, he has appeared as Keynote speaker in 22 international conferences and as Conference Chair in 3 international conferences. He also has an honorserving as a Coordinator for Materials Science Society of Pakistan (MSSP). He is also member for International Think Tank Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD-UNO) since August 2020.

    Besides, he has successfully completed three projects during his PhD and Post Doctorate on Gas sensor with team collaboration program as follows: 1-Chongqing Graduate Student Research Innovation Project (2014), "SnO2 structure, fabrication for Gas-Sensing applications”, 2-Fundamental Research Projects for Central Universities (2016-2017) “To study electrical behavior of ZnS nanowires gas sensor for different agarwood oil grades” and team collaboration project at Jiangsu University “Zhenjiang Science and Technology Innovation Fund (2018). One project 2020.01-2021.12 of National Natural Science Foundation of China, International (Regional) Cooperation and Exchange Program has been successfully completed with  excetional outcomes. One additive project with  NSFC under short-term based funding of 2020 Research Fund for Foreign Young Scholars, Foreign Specialist Program Introduction of high-end foreign experts (Industry Technology Innovation Category) both in 2020.01-2020.12 (Grant No. QNJ20200214011) and 2021.01-2021.12 (Grant No. QNJ2021014004) under National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Prof. Shahid Hussain, also has gained an International Project by "Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 2020.08-2022.08. He has good team that holds divergent fabrication and testing conditions at Jiangsu University Center for Analysis and Testing, Intelligent Sensor System at Najran University Saudi Arabia, Chongqing University, China, Tianjin University, Biomaterial Research Centre China, Jiangsu University Material Science and Engineering Experimental Center, Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory. Jiangsu University multifunctional materials and devices group has a high temperature vacuum contact angle measuring instrument (QCA15LHT-1800, the German data physics), multi-purpose high-temperature furnace (High Multi-5000, Japan), high-performance computer cluster (CPU: Intel Xeon E5- 2670v2, 92 cores, Dell) and other equipment, Jiangsu University, analytical testing heart has SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman spectroscopy and other analytical tools.
