Wu Suping is an associate professor and master's supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jiangsu University. He obtained his PhD in Engineering from the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences at Wuhan University in 2014. From 2019 to 2020, he worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Alberta in Canada, focusing on research in environmental nanomaterials. His research interests include fundamental and applied research on bio-based high-performance polymer materials, renewable and sustainable energy chemistry, natural polymer materials and the environment, biomass conversion high-value-added platform molecules, biodegradable materials, and the design and preparation of nanomembrane materials. He teaches courses such as "Materials Analytical Chemistry," "Materials Inorganic Chemistry," "Materials Chemistry Basic Experiment," "Biomimetic Intelligent Nanomaterials," "Biomimetic Materials and Bionic Principles," "Composite Materials," and "Polymer-Based Composite Materials." He has received awards such as the Excellent Graduate of Wuhan University, Advanced Individual in Internship Practice, Excellent Achievement in Internship Practice, Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Qianjiang City, and the Honorary Title of Excellent Academic Advisor at Jiangsu University. He is also an outstanding young backbone teacher and an outstanding reviewer for Biosensors and Bioelectronics. He is currently serving as an editorial board member for the Journal of Chemical Engineering Research Updates and a topic and guest editor for Sustainability. He has reviewed over 100 articles for peer-reviewed journals published by international publishing groups such as ACS, RSC, Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, and MDPI (Publons verified). He has participated in national 973 projects, national key projects, and national natural science foundation projects, and has led research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Scholars, the National Postdoctoral Fund, the Jiangsu Provincial Postdoctoral Fund, the Jiangsu University Youth Talent Cultivation Program, and the Jiangsu University Advanced Talents Startup Fund. He has published over 30 academic papers in domestic and international academic journals as the first or corresponding author, including over 20 papers indexed by SCI, and has been granted seven national invention patents.
